A Model for One Hour of Prayer

Then Jesus returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. "could you men not keep watch with me for one hour?'he asked  Peter. "watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak."

Matthew 26:40-41

1. Praise- Because your love is better than life my lips will praise you. Psalm 63:3

2. Stillness- Be still and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10

3. Confession-Search me O God and know my heart; try me and know my anxious thoughts. And see if there is any hurtful thing in me, and lead me in the everlasting way. Psalm 139:23-24

4. Scripture Praying- I have hidden your wod in my heart that I may not sin against you. Psalm 119:11

5. Meditation-I will meditate on all your works and consider all your mighty deeds. Psalm 77:12

6. Intercession-Rescue the weak and needy; deliver them from the hands of the wicked.  Psalm 82:4

7. Petition- But I call to God and the Lord saves me.  Psalm55:16

8. Thanksgiving- I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart. Psalm 9:1

9. Singing-Worship the Lord with gladness and come before his presence with singing. Psalm 100:2

10. Waiting- Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him. Psalm 37:7

11. Listening- I will listen to what God the Lord will say.  Psalm 85:8

12. Praise- I will praise you forever for what you have done. Pslam 52:9
